Who is Dr Matthew Daley?
I am a Clinical Psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Griffith University and a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life's challenges. My approach to therapy is compassionate, evidence-based, and tailored to meet each client's unique needs, rather than taking a one size fits all approach.
I have a special interest in working with veterans and first responders, supporting them in overcoming the unique challenges they face. This work, alongside my experience in addressing complex trauma, has deepened my understanding of resilience and recovery. I also have experience in a variety of cognitive and learning assessments for both teens and adults.
My clinical experience spans a diverse range of presentations, including depression, anxiety, complex trauma (particularly within the veteran community), adjustment issues, grief and loss, personality disorders, OCD, ASD, and ADHD. Over the years, I have worked with teens through to adults in their 70s.
With a PhD focused on adaptive memory and a background as a published researcher, I bring a strong academic foundation to my clinical practice. As a board-approved supervisor, I am also dedicated to mentoring the next generation of psychologists.
In my spare time, I enjoy running and hiking, watching sport, and reading history and biographies.
